Growing Concerns Over Bravecto Flea & Tick Medicine

Gillcrest Cavalier King Charles SpanielMore and more pet owners are sharing heartbreaking stories of their pets becoming seriously ill and in many cases, dying after they have used Bravecto flea and tick medicine.

The drug’s manufacturer, Merck Animal Health, maintains that its product is safe – but it’s hard to argue with the personal experiences of the over 29,000 members of the Facebook group “Does Bravecto Kill Dogs?” (visit site here). So much so that the online petition to Bernadette Dunham, D.V.M., Ph.D., Director, Center for Veterinary Medicine at the FDA (and others) has already exceeded 11,000 signatures (view petition here).

We don’t use or recommend Bravecto to the adoptive families of Gillcrest Cavalier King Charles owners … it’s simply not worth the risk in our opinion. And we encourage everyone to check out the two sites above, as well as the below news feature story that aired on Florida’s WTSP Channel 10 News last month to hopefully decide not to use Bravecto and potentially even join the movement behind its recall…
